Here is the work for the rest of the year for Social Studies. I have attached calendars to help guide you through the work.
Remember, this is optional...but 8th grade will be wanting you to know this information for next year. Email me if you would like a Google Meet session with me to help you!!! New packets (same work as what is online) are avaliable at school today from 11:30-1:00. Also, they will remain available for the rest of the school year on Mondays and Wednesdays for pick-up. So, if you need one...it will be there. April 15, 2020 Dear Students, While away from school, you have been given the opportunity to continue your math learning at home. We have provided you with the opportunity to do enrichment lessons in math for the weeks of 4/15 - 4/28/2020. We have included a math plan for those students who are not sure what to do each day in math. You are NOT required to follow the plan. The plan is a suggestion on how to break work down each day if you choose to do any work. Work at your own pace and complete what you are capable of doing on your own. The math packet contains Chapter 6 Percents. You have also been provided with the worked out solutions for all the problems in the chapter so you can check all your answers and see how you are doing. Suggestions on what to do for each lesson: 1. Copy the lesson into your math journal to help you to understand the lesson and how to solve the problems. Make sure to copy all the information, just like you would if you were in class taking notes. 2. Complete problems from the lesson exercise in your math journal or a separate sheet of paper. 3. You may want to do the Fair Game Review at the end of each exercise to review math you have already learned. 4. Included in the packet are the book quizzes. Try taking these to see how you would do and if you understand what you have learned. Check your answers with the answer key provided. As a reminder, these assignments are optional and you are not required to complete them. Packets do NOT get turned in and the packets will NOT be graded. If you have questions, please email us at [email protected] or [email protected]. We miss you!!!! Mrs. Alberto and Mrs. Crocker I have poste on Google Classroom the next two weeks of work. The math is posted in my Google Math class. If you haven't joined yet (only for my math students), the code is under the links tab on this site.
Here are the next two weeks worth of work for Social Studies. I have attached a calendar to help guide you through the work. New packets (same work as what is online) are avaliable at school today from 11:30-1:00. For those that don't know yet, we will not be returning to the SES campus for the remainder of the year. I don't have answers as far as grades go, but once I find out...I will let you know. Don't forget that new packets for Social Studies/Science & Math (if you need one) will be out on Wednesday, 4/15.
I will be having "office hours" for all students from 2:00-2:45, Monday through Friday. Please go to Google Meet, put in code: CrockerRocks. Join the meeting for office hours. There may be a group of students at one time, or it could just be one-on-one. Depends on who needs help. I have attached a video to help you understand how to do Google Meet. You can always email me any questions, still. I will not be answering emails on the weekends though. You and I need to make sure we are taking a break for our health and mental/emotional wellness. PLEASE READ THE GOOGLE MEET ETIQUETTE PAGE (below) BEFORE MONDAY The Enrichment Learning Opportunities (ELO) Activities are listed below. There are some changes with math, so my homeroom students...please take note of that. I have a presentation on Google Classroom that you should take a look at. It helps explain everything a little bit more.

There is going to be a change in how and what we are doing. We are having an online teacher meeting on Monday to get all the information that we need. Continue to read the textbook online, but changes are happening. I will, as always, keep you informed as soon as I understand what is going on. There will be NO work packet distribution on Monday due to this change. I would hate to waste tons of paper because things are changing that day. Thank you! |
Info:These items are for enrichment. This will help you still grow as a student while we are all away from the classroom. You can go at your own pace OR you can follow the plan that I will be posting for every week. I hope that this will pass soon, and we can be back in the classroom for the remainder of the year.
